 Celebrating the end of the Tour

Cambridge-based law firm Hewitsons tasked Myriad PR with raising awareness of its first ever firm-wide charity event – Tour de Hewitsons. 

To raise funds for Veterans Aid, the Hewitsons team took part in a gruelling two-day bike ride, cycling more than 150 miles between the firm’s four regional offices. Myriad was challenged to raise awareness of the inaugural event by engaging with local press and encouraging fundraising. 

Myriad’s tactical PR campaign ran from the beginning of the year, with a steady flow of press releases, fundraising updates and photo-calls to key titles in the office regions. Influential regional publications including MK Citizen, Cambridge News, Cambridge Business and Cambridge Independent covered the event, generating a reach of over one million. This coverage helped Hewitsons to raise more than £3,000 for the charity, smashing the firm’s original target.
